VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS
Vaccinations MUST be given by a veterinarian.
We do not accept self-administered vaccinations or dogs that are on chemo medications.
According to the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tuft's University,
"Responsible kennels that insist on proof of vaccination against the illness before taking care of a dog,
are among the least likely places your pet will end up with the infection."
Quoted in their February 2014 "Your Dog" newsletter.
DHLPP
1 to 3 years (based on your vet's recommendation)
Distemper/Parvo Combination (DHLPP) protects against several potentially fatal diseases. D - Distemper, L - Leptospirosis, H - Hepatatis, P - Parainfluenza, P - Parvovirus.
RABIES
1 to 3 years (based on your vet's recommendation)
Rabies protects against the very serious disease that can be fatal to all mammals (including humans).
BORDETELLA
1 year
Bordetella (also known as Kennel Cough) helps prevent or reduce the severity of this serious respiratory infection that can lead to pneumonia.
CENTRIFUGAL FECAL FLOTATION & GIARDIA ELISA (ANTIGEN) TEST
6 months (Lucky Dog Resort's requirement)
A centrifugal fecal flotation detects intestinal parasites such as worms and some protozoa by identifying eggs or cysts in stool, while a Giardia ELISA (antigen) test specifically detects Giardia antigens that may be missed by microscopy, so together they provide broader screening for parasites that can spread in shared dog environments.
FLEA TREATMENT PROGRAM
We recommend purchasing a flea treatment regimen through your vet.
All dogs must be on a flea treatment program. Must not be topical "organic" flea treatment.
