What do I need to do to board my dog at Lucky Dog Resort?
First, read through all of the questions on this page and go to the Requirements page to make sure your dog qualifies. Then call or email us to check availability of the dates that you are requesting. Once this has been verified, fill out our Pet Agreement Form and fax it to us (or attach it to an email). Then fax over your dog's current vaccination records. You will receive a confirmation email from us once your dog is booked into our system.
What do I need to bring if my dog boards with you?
We provide bowls, bedding, chew toys and hypo-allergenic treats for your dog. You may bring your dog's own bed or a blanket so they feel more at home. If you bring toys for your dog, they will be placed in his or her own kennel.
How much playtime will my dog get each day?
Your dog will be let out eight times during the day - starting at 7:00am until 9:30pm.
Do you have any breed bans at your facility?
At this time, we are unable to accept pure-bred or mixes of Akitas, American Bulldogs, American Staffordshire Terriers, Bull Mastiffs, Bull Terriers, Chow Chows, Dogo Argentinos, Pero de Presa Canarios, Pit Bulls, Rottweilers or Wolf-Hybrids.
What is a free-range kennel vs. a traditional kennel? How are you different?
A free-range kennel is usually a place where dogs are allowed to be off-leash all day long. They normally sleep together in rooms at night. Whereas, in a traditional kennel the dogs stay in individual runs - but are not allowed to play with each other. Lucky Dog Resort is neither of these. Since safety is our number one concern - we have decided to establish some control over the dogs interactions. This is one of the reasons the dogs are let out multiple times a day - but then put in their "suites" for some downtime.
Why can't I find your address listed on your website?
First, we maintain a secure facility and therefore will only give our address out to Lucky Dog Resort guests. Secondly, since this is a home-based environment, we try to avoid disruptions to our 4-legged friends. If you would like to view our facility, please call or email to make an appointment.
Is Lucky Dog Resort a licensed facility?
Yes - we are a fully licensed Commercial Kennel. This means we abide by all the rules and regulations for safety and health required by Snohomish County. We are proud of the effort we have put into making this a safe and healthy environment for your dog. Please take this into consideration when you are boarding your dog at other facilities. Make sure they are fully licensed!
Is Lucky Dog Resort insured?
Yes - we are fully insured.
